Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use PrepCrest — the website prepcrest.in and the PrepCrest Android app (in.prepcrest.prepcrest), whether you install it from Google Play or from prepcrest.in. By creating an account or buying a plan you agree to them. Please read them with our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which form part of these terms.

1. Who we are

PrepCrest is operated by EazeByte Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us"), CIN U62011HR2026PTC148656, GSTIN 06AAJCE8893P1ZL, registered office Innov8 UCP, 9th Floor, Tower D, Unitech Cyber Park, Sector 39, Gurugram (Haryana) 122001, India. 2. Who can use PrepCrest

• PrepCrest is a study service for school students and exam aspirants in India.
• If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf and must be the one who buys any plan. References to "you" then include them.
• An account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in or let others study on your plan.

3. Your account

• Give accurate details, including a phone number or email you can verify — we use it to confirm it is you and to recover your account.
• Keep your password and one-time codes to yourself. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from the app or at prepcrest.in/delete-account.

4. The free trial

A new account gets two days of full access, free, once per person. The trial is tied to your phone number or email, so a second account with the same number or email does not get another one. Nothing is charged for the trial and no payment details are needed for it. When it ends, the parts of PrepCrest that need a plan stay locked until you choose one.

The NCERT library stays free for everyone, with or without a plan, and so do your account, your progress and your past receipts.

5. Plans and prices

Plus opens every chapter of every subject: our lessons, the textbook, chapter practice, mock tests, previous years' papers, Ask a Doubt and the Exam Assistant, with daily allowances. Pro is everything in Plus, with Ask a Doubt, the Exam Assistant and the answer evaluator unmetered.

Prices are in Indian rupees and include GST. The price shown in the app or on the website before you pay is the price you are charged. In the Google Play app the price is the one Google Play shows on its payment sheet.

6. How you pay

• The app from Google Play — you pay through Google Play, with the payment methods your Google account holds. Google processes the payment and sends you the receipt for it.
• prepcrest.in, and the app installed from prepcrest.in — you pay through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets). Monthly and yearly plans are set up as an autopay mandate, which you approve with your bank or UPI app. We send you a receipt or GST tax invoice for each payment.
• We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank password. Those stay with Google or Razorpay and your bank.
• Your plan opens as soon as the payment is confirmed. A payment that is still pending (for example a UPI request you have not yet approved) opens it when it clears.

7. Renewal and cancellation

• Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in force, until you cancel. The 3-day pass never renews.
• You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep everything until the end of the period you have already paid for, and are not charged again.
• How to cancel:
  • Bought in the Google Play app — in the Play Store app, open your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › PrepCrest › Cancel subscription. PrepCrest's Settings has a Manage on Google Play button that takes you there. We cannot cancel a Google Play subscription for you.
  • Bought on prepcrest.in or in the app from prepcrest.in — open Settings on prepcrest.in or in the app and choose Cancel autopay, or email us and we will do it for you.
• If a renewal payment fails, Google Play or Razorpay will try again for a short while and your plan stays open. If it still cannot be taken, the plan is put on hold and locks until the payment method is fixed — in Google Play for a Google Play plan — or a new plan is chosen.
• Deleting your account stops any renewal we manage. We recommend cancelling first so you can see the cancellation confirmed.

8. Changing your plan

• You can move from Plus to Pro, or from a monthly to a yearly plan, at any time. The app tells you what happens to your current plan before you pay.
• On Google Play, the change replaces your current plan: Google Play credits the unused part of it, or charges only the difference for the rest of the billing period, as its payment sheet shows.
• On prepcrest.in, the new plan starts the day you buy it at its full price; your current plan stops renewing and stays open until its end date.

9. Price changes

We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you in the app and by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to your renewal, and you can cancel before then. For Google Play subscriptions, Google Play also asks for your consent where its rules require it.

When we refund, and how, is set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

11. Using PrepCrest fairly

You agree not to:

• share, sell or lend your account or plan, or let several people use one account;
• copy, download in bulk, republish or sell our lessons, questions, tests or other content;
• use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access PrepCrest, or try to get round daily allowances, locks or security;
• harass, abuse or impersonate anyone in live classes, chat or the community, or post anything unlawful, obscene, hateful or misleading;
• record or share live classes, or other learners' messages, without permission;
• reverse engineer the app, or interfere with the service or other users.

If you break these rules we may warn you, remove what you posted, or suspend or close your account. Where a paid plan is closed for a serious or repeated breach, the unused part is not refunded.

12. Content and ownership

• Our lessons, questions, explanations, tests, designs and software belong to us or our licensors. Your plan gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own study while it is active.
• NCERT books and official examination material belong to their publishers. PrepCrest links to them; it does not claim them.
• What you write — answers, doubts, messages — stays yours. You let us store and process it to run PrepCrest for you, for example to mark an answer or reply to a doubt.

13. AI features

The tutor, Ask a Doubt, the Exam Assistant and the answer evaluator use artificial intelligence. They are built to be accurate and to follow the syllabus, but they can be wrong. Check important points against your textbook or teacher. A mark or feedback from the answer evaluator is guidance for practice, not an official result, and no part of PrepCrest guarantees a score, rank or admission.

14. Availability

We work to keep PrepCrest available and to fix problems quickly, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may improve, change or retire features; if a change takes away a main part of a plan you have paid for, we will tell you and you may cancel and ask for a refund under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

15. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be limited. Otherwise, PrepCrest is provided for study on an "as available" basis, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

16. Ending these terms

You can stop using PrepCrest and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that the law requires us to close. What happens to your data then is described in the Privacy Policy.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they apply. If you keep using PrepCrest after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account.

18. Law, complaints and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please come to us first with any problem — most are solved quickly. We acknowledge complaints within 1 working day and aim to resolve them within 15 days. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the courts at Gurugram, Haryana have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.
